And here is a view of my finished quilt in wallhanging size. I choose vibrant batiks which work well with a summer quilt. When the quilt was finished it reminded me of a fruity and cool dessert, hence the name "Coneflower Sherbet". A refreshing eye candy!
Enjoy additional images with details of the quilting at my gallery.
By the way, the top of the quilt was created during an afternoon sewing with friends; it was done much quicker that way.
When joining the blocks be aware that you need to use the partial seam method. It is a simple method and not complicated to sew.
The additional sashing strips are done similarly; you will just need to use some forethought. The quilt is currently in America and will be displayed from December 2014 on in the gallery of "Quiltmaker" in Golden, Colorado.
