This was my first Quiltmaker 100 Blocks Blog Tour

	I'm happy and honored to have my block appear in Quiltmaker's 100 Blocks from Today's Top Designers Volume 9! This brand new issue of Quiltmaker's 100 Blocks will be at the newsstands on May 6th. Did you detect my block on the cover? It is a paper pieced block (what else?) and shows a framed hummingbird. Here is my bird in full:
My original block is 12" by 12" like all others in the magazine.	To make a wall hanging for the winter garden just add hangers and some prairie points to jazz it up.

You may also look for other blocks that will fit the theme and join them to make a more elaborated project. The cardinal is from my garden bird collection at EQBoutique and the Bird of Paradise will be published soon here on my pages.
If you ever use the Humming Bird block in a project I would love to see what you made!
